Welcome…
The “Tour de Matchedash” Series is an 8 cache
series placed to showcase the beauty and solitude of the Matchedash
Lake, Upper Eastern Lake and Lower Eastern Lake areas of the
Matchedash Barrens.

Rock Ledge...
On the high side of our second last beaver dam
crossing is a curious formation of rocks that was unique and
demanded a 5/5 cache. We had couple of caches left but
decided to break routine and place a Lock n Lock container instead
of the Ammo can. This cache will ONLY be doable by
boat. You will not need to climb but you will have to get
your boat into the hollow to search the ledges.
We loved this spot, the little water fall
beyond the dam is very pretty as are the rocks leading up to
it. A great place to stop for a little snack and some more
Caching Cola before tackling the portage over the rocks.

It is about 3/4 of an hour to an hour to get out to
the road from here. We hope that you enjoyed the tour and
that you have left a vehicle at the parking coords to take you back
to the Long Lake launch. Here is a view of the last dam after the
carry arround and just before the road.
