Geocache Description:

pavement, easy access to parking

After reading the first log submitted, I felt that I should give a more accurate description.

This hide is the 3rd placed along the same route. This is
Airport Road in Waverly.

I have placed two other caches along this route. There is a very popular walking path just as you turn onto Airport Road. It is dedicated to the memory of Will Bennett McClanahan Greenway who's life was cut short in an accident while operating a tractor. 1981-2003.

After coming to the end of this path, you will soon be at the Allen Sports Complex. This facility is part of The Dixie League Association. During the Summer months it is full of children and their family and friends. Here they play baseball and softball. Local children have participated in sports here for quite some time. I know I have spent many, many hours watching my kids play.

The Humphreys County Airport is at the very end of this road(thus the name Airport Road) You will arrive at a locked gate. You CANNOT enter this gate. A chainlink fence encases the airport hanger. To your right is a gravel area. Turn here and enter the gravel area. Continue on up to the next paved lot and park. Per permission of owners you may park here to look for this hide. There is a red brick building with shrubbery along a concrete path. On your left hand side this shrubbery is where my hint comes into play.

While you're this close to the airport, why not take a look around. There are normally planes belonging to locals and others for people to take flying lessons. I spoke to a couple of the workers while preparing this hide. They were very helpful. If you see them watching you, give em' a wave. If someone I didn't speak to is watching you, introduce them to the game of geocaching. Maybe they'll join us.

Please let me know if you have any problems with this one.
