Titan's Cache Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Southerntrekker: Hi There

As the owner has not responded to either my log or my colleague's previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it.

Please note that once the cache has been archived, this can not be undone. This is explained in the Help Center - http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70

You will need to create a new listing, put it back in for review and as long as it meets today's guidelines and no other caches have been published in the area causing a proximity problem, then it will be published.

Regards

Geocache Description:

Near a field with a most impressive sheep.

This cache is to bring you to (but not in ) a field which houses a Logtan sheep in a special small field so visitors can see him. He often has a ewe to keep him company and there may even be one or two lambs in the spring.

The two most striking features of Titan and other Logtan sheep are their four horns and brown/tan fleece. Both ewes and rams usually have four horns but the males such as Titan do have sets that are larger and more impressive than the females. The fleece changes from a dark brown in lambs to the tan shown above. In the Manx language the word Logtan has come to be used for both the colour and the sheep.

There is no charge to access the cache location or the parking which is within a few meters of the cache. If you wish to also enter the neighbouring Victorian Period Grove Museum (well worth a visit) there is a small fee if you are not a member of Manx or British National Heritage.
