Geocache Description:

A little bridge in an area rich in NASA tradition. The Mercury and Gemini astronauts lived close to the Space Center and the Carpenters, Glenns, Grissoms and Schirras lived in Timber Cove. The area is still home to Mission Specialists and Space Center personnel.

The high water mark from Hurricane Ike in this area is about 8 ft lower than this cache, about halfway up the south side of the bridge. People here went through a lot and are on the way back.

The pool to the north is shaped like a Gemini capsule. The bridge has been a great place to gather and watch New Year's Eve fireworks over the lake. Say Hi to our friends across the water!

Easy parking. Bring a pen and watch out for swimming muggles!
