O porto do Barril, ou praia da Assenta Sul é uma pequena enseada que se localiza no concelho de Torres Vedras.
Neste recanto rodeado de falésias íngremes, podemos observar um pequeno porto de pesca, e seu farol, reminiscentes dos tempos em que a pesca era principal actividade destas aldeias.
Podemos também desfrutar de toda a beleza natural que caracteriza a linha de costa da região oeste.

Porto do Barril, or Assenta south beach is a small bay located about 20 km from Torres Vedras.
Here you can find an old harbor and a small lighthouse; memories from the times that fishery was the main activity of people nearby.
Visiting Assenta you can also appreciate all the natural beauty of Western coastline.
