Geocache Description:

While hiking the Lower Ridge Trail in northwestern Jacks Peak County Park, I happened upon one of nature's studies in contrast: the dark roots of Monterey pine growing down over the light background of aguajito shale.

Vegetable---Mineral
Living---Non-living
Dark---Light

11/15/23: The container is now a camo'ed film can. It is tucked up into the bank, in a cubbyhole under a slanted root, behind a few rocks. You'll have to scramble a bit behind some spindly pine trees. BYOP. (Coordinates are bouncy, so use the description. I've also included a couple of spoiler photos in a note in the logs.)
