Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series that we have placed on the West Fife cycle way. The route is all on tarmac, it also connects with the three circular routes in West Fife if you wish to explore further. The route is reasonably flat and is suitable for adults and younger children, as part of a great cycle run, or alternatively, there are many car parking areas along the route where you can gain access if you’re feeling less energetic. Details of this Route are in the West Fife Cycle Route.

A lovely walk over the viaduct which crosses the bluther burn, if you look down from the viaduct you will see an area that the locals called the glen, this is where most of the local children played. The signal box stood on the right, roughly behind the wooden bench seat. The Blairhall Colliery branch was lifted in 1974.

There is also another cache nearby that can be done at the same time it is called Blairhall pit stop.

Parking for this cache is the same as Eastgrange which is further along the line to the west. Please bring your own pencil.

Please note there is no need to leave the cycle path to retrieve this.
