Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series that we have placed on the West Fife cycle way. The route is all on tarmac, it also connects with the three circular routes in West Fife if you wish to explore further. The route is reasonably flat and is suitable for adults and younger children, as part of a great cycle run, or alternatively, there are many car parking areas along the route where you can gain access if you’re feeling less energetic. Details of this Route are in the West Fife Cycle Route.

Bogside station closed in 1958 the signal box and the waiting room which is hidden in the trees is all that remains of the station.
Freight trains still ran here until around 1984 before the line was cut back to Oakley and then closed altogether. The line is crossed by a road bridge the A907 just to the west of it.
