A cheesy '80s song but a personal favorite with an interesting background story.

Once upon a time, specifically in 1986, a young Air Force Lieutenant was working as an engineer in Los Angeles while waiting for his Undergraduate Pilot Training to start. In this particular office there worked a striking young lady who caught the eye of this Lieutenant. One day, he asked her out on a date, and she accepted. When she agreed to a night of pizza, beer, and a movie, he was intrigued. When she further agreed to accompany him to watch the new movie about naval aviators called "Top Gun", he knew he had a keeper. 20+ years later these two kids are still together and still like hearing this tune!

"One day, I'll be a Geostud!"

Now that you know the background story and why this movie holds a special spot in my heart (besides the killer flying scenes), it's time to answer some questions to find the coordinates of this cache. Find the answers below and do the required math. Any alphabetical answers should be translated to numbers via the normal style - A=1, B=2, etc. Use only the numerical value associated with the aircraft for the first two answers - do not convert letters to numbers for those.

What kind of aircraft did Tom Cruise "fly"? A=_________

What kind of aircraft is jambro standing in front of? B=______

What was Tom Cruise's call sign? C=_________

What was Kelly McGillis' call sign? D=_________

What was Anthony Edwards' call sign? E=_______

Now, add these values to the decimal parts only of the above coordinates:

For the latitude: xxx=C+D+E+26

For the longitude: yyy=(3xA)+B-6

For the final coordinates, use the coordinates listed on the cache page. Add xxx to the decimal portion of the latitude, and add yyy to the decimal portion of the longitude.

Now, head into the DANGER ZONE!
