Micro cache in a popular fishing location with much improved paths.
Leg O' Mutton Dam is the popular name for the lake. It is beloved by generations of anglers and is probably where many in St. Helens started their angling. I did! The cache is situated in the woodland surrounding the lake. The paths are good as they have been recently upgraded. As there is water care needs to be taken with little cachers. The cache is not near the water. Please note: This cache does not get waterlogged. If you are looking in a waterlogged, mucky hole then you are in the wrong place. Parking is available at Taylor Park which is also worth a visit and where there are a couple of caches. There is a lovely play area for children and a pleasant walk around the lake in the park.
