Geocache Description:

We occasionally spend an evening star spotting. This is one of the locations relatively close to Dubai that we use. You can still see the glow of Dubai in the distance but it’s easy to get here following well defined tracks all of the way. You will need a 4x4 but its not a difficult drive.

There’s a lovely flat area here for camping well back from the track. Excellent for setting up your telescope.

Visibility was poor the night we chose to hide this cache – too many clouds and the four day old moon was giving off too much light. We did, however, see a camel spider and a herd of gazelle.

If anyone out there fancies joining us for a night of star spotting then drop us an email.

The cache is hidden under the remains of an old bush which you will find at the published coordinates.
