Geocache Description:

This small/medium Lock-n-Lock type container is located in the Will County Rock Run I&M Canal Access Forest Preserve.

We believe this is the first cache to obtain a permit under the new Will County permit system for geocaches. At least I got sticker #1 when I picked it up!

This cache was placed with permission from Will County and has its permit and cache sticker. It is a pretty standard hide with a short trail walk through the preserve to the cache. There is quite a bit of interesting beaver activity in the area and various birds and waterfowl can be seen there.

Per Forest Preserve District of Will County's Geocaching Permit Policy:
1. This Geocache is placed on Will County Forest Preserve property with permission until March 31 2009.
2. Preserve users are only permitted to search for caches during normal preserve hours:
     8 a.m.-8 p.m., April-October and 8 a.m.-5 p.m., November-March.
3. All Forest Preserve rules apply; call 815.727.8700 for more information.
