Geocache Description:

More than a thousand years ago Släbro was a bridging point and meeting place where two important routs – by water and by land – converged. Most of the runic stones in Sweden date from the Viking period (c AD 800-1050) Only rich could afford to have a runic stone carved. The carving was often done to honour a dead relative, bur also to demonstrate the family´s power.
