The impressive Trigrad Gorge is situated south of Devin, 1.2 km of the Trigrad village, near the Trigrad river valley in the Rhodope Mountains. It stands 1450 m above sea level, its total length is 7 km and the most interesting part is 2-3 km. The vertical rocks, forming the gorge, rise on the two riversides. The vertical rocks reach 250 m of height.
The archeological expeditions in the area prove the existence of cave dwellings and Thracian Tombs. The Devil's Throat cave is one of the sights of the Trigrad Gorge. Here the water enters the cave and forms 42 m high waterfall. Around 500 meters down the river, the water appears again in the form of Karst spring. The cave is well laid out and open to the public.
Another attraction is the Haramiiska cave. It’s situated on the east side of the vertical rocks. 8 km away is the Yagodinska cave which is the longest one in the Rhodope Mountains. Tourists are allowed to enter these two caves only with special equipment and a guide.
The landmarks of the Trigrad Gorge have been declared a national heritage. In the area called Chairite, there are six rock-lakes. Ten rare bird species live in the rocks of the Trigrad Gorge.
There are several private hotels and rooms in the village of Trigrad.
