Geocache Description:

Bewbush Mill

Location of the old Bewbush mill, with the sluce gate behind you follow the path so the stream is on your left. You may need to get your feet wet but watch out for frogs hiding in the ivy near the waters edge.

Two hammerponds in the parish later provided power for corn mills. A mill at Bewbush existed from 1787 or earlier. In 1862 the miller was also a farmer. The mill was disused by 1875, and was said in 1930 to have long disappeared.
