A Walk in the Park - The Clearing is a regular
sized square LnL type container with the usual logbook, pencils,
small collection of trading items and an initial collection of
travellers. There is a tripod flashlight available for the FTF.
Come on out and enjoy this lesser known park on one of the
backroads west of Cochrane and north off the 1A highway on the
Grand Valley Road. All of the roads leading to the park are paved
and well maintained year round. Enjoy!
Park History
In 1980, George Emil Perrenoud donated this land to the Alberta
Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation for the purpose of
a wilderness park for the benefit of the residents of the Province
of Alberta.
