Geocache Description:


A chance to meet the kiwi cachers "TheWonderStuff" and "ADV". This event will be a good opportunity to meet other cachers at the site of the "Smithy" cache near Brisbane Airport. Feel free to bring cricket gear, a soccer ball or other items to keep people entertained. If its raining we'll use the shelter at the smithy display for our get together. The event starts at 2.30PM Sunday August 3rd and finishes at 4:15 pm (Though I maybe able to extend this by an hour, if I'm organised and get my bags checked in early), as that's when I need to check in for my flight back to New Zealand.

ADV and I will have been in Brisbane for the last 7 days caching and as I have 2 caches up in Caloundra The Gunner's Dream, The Eye In The Sky, and I also co-own Portal to The Land of The Long White Cloud with Konie I thought it would be a good chance to put a face to some names. It's ADV's first time to Australia ( for caching!) and he is pretty keen to meet some caching ozzies!

I was also over here ANZAC day (2007) with my wife for The ANZAC Test at Suncorp Stadium, where we then headed up to Coolum for the week caching in that area.

Its unlikely that we will have computer access, so I thought I'd organise a way of getting together with those of you who are interested.

We will bring some geocoins and travel bugs with us ex New Zealand to swap on the day. I will also bring some of my GC's from my small collection

We both won a Groundspeak reviewers geocoin, that we will bring for you to discover. ADV for most finds in New Zealand last year, myself for most hides in New Zealand last year.
