A rather historic site, well tended lawn, and close to gorgeous walk up the canyon.
The location is not exactly festive but offers a nice walk thru some well tended lawns amidst some nicely carved granite with a splash of color afforded by a scattering of wilted flowers. There are several approaches to the cache. If coming via the open route watch where you step! If coming from the canyon trail side it is a short hike up from the trail. Canopy is heavy so you may have to hunt a bit. The cache is in a large green plastic 10 liter olive container and has some playing cards, glow in the dark alien keyrings, a geometry set, compass, nice pen, measuring tape and other assorted goodies. Please take a picture ( nice backdrop nearby ). If you want a copy make a note of the picture # and send me an email and will forward you a copy via email when retrieved! If you’ve never been on the canyon trail GO just down the hill from the cache till you hit the trail, turn left and hike up to the dam. Very scenic
