Near to the ancient Roman port of Gallounia. 4x4 not essential if driven with care. The cache itself is on a fairly steep slope so not suitable for wheelchairs.
This site is an ancient harbour that was used in the Roman period. An old stone wharehouse is present but it is not known whether it original and has been rebuilt, or it is relatively modern (check out the date on the building).
This is one of our favourite spots on the island. We visit it every time we are there and dream about it when we are stuck in the rain in the UK (hence the name). Apart from the occasional fisherman or diver we never see ayone else there. The natural breakwater makes it a faboulous place to swim, but I wouldn't advise jumping off the rocks as it is shallower than it seems.
We also own 'Stuck Between a Rock and a Hard Place' which is another peaceful spot with great views, so please give it a visit.
