SARANTA
On a day of geocaching and exploration in our own country, we came to this, the cave of Saint Saranta. Saranta is spelled in Greek language and it means forty.
Saranta were the saints, Saint Saranta soldiers of the army of Likiniou in Greece. The church celebrates their memory on the 9th of March.
Visiting the place made me realize that we are have yet a lot to discover. Feel free to go inside, but remember that it is a holly place.
Climb on top next to the Dome and you will have a great panoramic view of Protaras area, never seen or yet published before.
We had with us geocaching aid, so we prepare one cache for you.
Original contents of the cache are:
FTF award
Calculator
Pen neck strap
2 button batteries
Micro flash light
TB icache
Enjoy
*** FTF honors 'juefi' ***
Notes: No need for a 4x4 unless you take the wrong turn, which I cannot tell you which are those, as it is my first time there.
