A camping event if you choose to start early (advised) or a fun campfire event in the evening if you choose instead.
All caches for this event will be active the morning of, so plan ahead for the day and just sleep over at the farm like some others!
I was watching my kids play the other day. They were playing Rock, Scissors, Paper..Shoot. And it came to me as they were whining about wanting to camp. Why not hold an event where we can camp, and then cache all day on a theme based cache run.
So..I spoke to the kids, I spoke to my husband, I spoke to friends to guage interest, and here it is.
Games Kids Play will be a Saturday all day event. You can camp on my farm Friday night (8/1/08) if you want, and Saturday morning bright and early, the cache sheets will posted with games kids like to play. And all the caches will be based on kids games, with either tokens or something associated with the game for you to collect and bring back. I will be holding a small bonfire Saturday night, and will pass out awards then on the days fun. All caches will be within a 10 mile radius of my farm, and will be kid friendly and mom approved.
I hope you all can make it. Please message me if you want to camp on the farm. We do have electrical hook ups for about four pop up campers, and plenty of space for tents. There will be kids to play with, adults to converse with, and fun the whole family will enjoy. And yes, I intend to make my husband go out with the kids, since they will not know where the caches are (so hah! you can't bribe em!)
To reiterate: All caches will be published Saturday morning 8/2/08...
You can camp overnight on the farm 8/1/08..
The event bonfire is at 7pm 8/2/08
