California.
Congratulations to MountainFolk406 for his dedication and being
the FTF!
Living in a nearby townhouse, Wilbur’s owners would often take
him to this park to play his favorite game, fetch, and to run
around. The children that played on the playground loved when
Wilbur would stop by because he was the friendliest, most playful
dog they had ever seen. The kids would pet Wilbur, throw things for
him, and feed him snacks; making him feel like the luckiest dog in
the world. Everyone enjoyed watching Wilbur retrieve his toys
because they got to see his big ears flap as he sprinted for his
toy and back to the person who threw it for him.
One day, during a wild game of fetch, Wilbur’s owner threw his
toy so far that Wilbur could not find it. This made Wilbur a sad
puppy because it was his most favorite toy in the whole world.
While madly searching in the woods for his toy, Wilbur met a new
friend. Woody asked Wilbur what he was searching for, and if he
could help. Wilbur explained about his lost toy and told Woody of
his exciting games of fetch and the fun children he had met at the
playground. Woody and Wilbur searched and searched for his toy.
Saddened by the fact that he could not find his toy, Wilbur decided
to give up.
Woody could not stand to see his new friend Wilbur in such a bad
mood. “Let me take you to a fun, new playground –" Woody exclaimed
to Wilbur. “my playground.” As his owners came searching, they saw
Wilbur running east down Oakwood chasing a woodpecker. They
immediately thought Wilbur was going to chase this bird and get
lost, so they chased after him. They tried their hardest to keep up
with their puppy, continuously calling his name…
Once they got back home frantically trying to form a search
party, they looked out their window and were happy to see Wilbur
playing with the same bird they saw him chasing. Wilbur’s owners
were ecstatic to have him back again and noticed his new friend,
who sat on the porch and watched, as Wilbur was welcomed back into
his home. On future trips to the park, Wilbur would instead drag
his owners to his new playground – Wilbur & Woody’s
Playground.
