BlueRajah: I am archiving this cache to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. The reviewers asked you some time ago to check this cache, and no action was taken. If this was done in error please contact me immediately. Geocache Description:

Lions and tigers and bears, oh no!

This cache is being reincarnated as a small plastic box, about 4 x 8 inches. I have covered it well with leaves and sticks, leaving just a hint of blue lid showing. It's next to a largish boulder (3-5 ft) which has a row of inclusions of 1 inch calcite nodules across the top.

Old coordinates: N41 11.869 W111 56.106. The new coordinates are from another averaging. Please tell me which are the closest for you and I will update the site accordingly. They have both worked for me, on different days.

Closest parking is 36th street trailhead, very near the Wasatch fault.

Geology notes:
The Wasatch fault is a normal fault at the edge of the Basin and Range area of crustal extension. In the 15 million years since it began, the displacement of the fault has been about 14,000 ft. Erosion has worn down the Wasatch mountains and filled up the valleys with the eroded sediments, so the difference between valley and mountain peaks is only 5-6000 feet at this time.
