On a local nature trail! Enjoy!
You can find this cache on the Wilder-Mackenzie Nature Trail. One end is in the Otter River State Forest camping area, and the other end is in the Lake Dennison Recreational Area. The cache is closest to the Lake Denison end, but I encourage you to hike the entire trail as it is an enjoyable one! It has variable terrain but I wouldn't say the terrain is ever over 2.5. Should be easy for kids and kids-at-heart! There are many other caches in the area as well, so make sure you make the rounds and log them all!
Cache is a small lock'n'lock box tucked away and waiting for visitors. If you venture out from the Dennison side of the trail, you'll notice quickly the swampy area made by the beavers. If you look carefully, you'll even see where the old trail went (now under water) and the wooden bridges that once helped you over the only slightly wet area. The newly marked trail goes around the wetness, I promise!
