Geocache Description:

(Final not at posted coordinates, but you’ll go there to grab a number – see below.)

The coordinates bring you to Historic Woodside Place, an old wooden church built over a hundred years ago. It was originally located about a half-mile due West of this location and sat on a little knoll for many years. However, vacant and being considered for demolition, a local family decided to move the church to their property and restore it. They have done a wonderful job and have also added on facilities for weddings and other special occasions.

To get the coordinates for the final, check out the church from the outside (you do not need to go in or near the church!) and more specifically its steeple. On the steeple is the date this church was originally built – jot this down.

To get to the final, go to:

N44 55.174
W092 23.XXX

Where:

XXX = Date on steeple minus 1307

These coordinates will take you to a small country cemetery less than a half mile due West, near where this fine church used to stand. You can drive near the location (except in the winter – but it’ll still be a short walk). Container is a bison tube, so please bring a writing stick. While you’re here, be sure to check out Bobcat’s cache (GCGV7R) if you haven’t already.

Please note: The cache is not on any gravestone or site. Be very respectful of all stones/sites. If there happen to be people there mourning a loss, please visit another time. Thanks for understanding.
