Geocache Description:

Burscough to Tarleton Canal is a branch of the Leeds Liverpool canal and was to be closed by the British Waterways. However, British opinion was so great they made the Ribble Link, thus linking Lancaster and Leeds / Liverpool canals at Preston.

This is the end or the beginning, whichever way you like to see it.  We called it the Blood Tub as this is the nickname for the Ship Inn. We believe that they use to slaughter livestock here and if anyone can confirm/deny this we would be very greatful. Look out for the lady in her kitchen window, she may be watching you!
