Bell's Run is a small 10 acre woodland nestled between the Amish farms of the Octoraro Creek watershed. Bell's Run meanders through the property lowland, which is excellent habitat for both flora and fauna. The woods are dominated by poplar, black birch, red maples, and black walnut trees.
For more information on what you'll see at the preserve, as well as a trail map, visit: Bells Run
Look for the Conservancy sign on the northeast side of the road about half way between Shady Road and Maple Shade Road. Park on the grass in front of or next to the sign. The trail head begins behind the sign. Follow the pasture fence line keeping it on your right for about 500 yards, the fence will turn 90 degrees to the left. Keep Following the fence until it turns 90 degrees to the right and down hill, this is the boundary of the Preserve. A stream crossing will be necessary but it can be done with out getting your feet wet.
