How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

Great viewpoint above Holcombe Hill and Peel Tower. The walk entails negotiating some roughish paths, soft peaty ground and crossing a boggy stream if you are coming from the south, so suitable footwear should be worn. It can also get cold up here on the moors, even in summer, so be sure you are properly equipped.

Please tread carefully in spring and keep dogs on leads to avoid disturbing ground nesting birds - thanks. The National Trust Warden has kindly given permission for the cache on the understanding that no vehicle will be driven up the tracks to the moor and that the cache will be removed if there are any problems caused by its presence, so please obey the country code, and help by picking up any litter you see - ta!

The cache is a plastic tub containing log book, pencil and swaps
