This cache provides a very scenic view of Whidbey Island and the Sound. Even if you can't get to the cache, the view from safety is well worth the trip.
There are several ways to approach this cache depending on your physical abilities and time on hand. I recommend getting a good workout by hiking up from the gravel parking lot located at N 48° 28.065' W 122° 37.771' (EL: ~530'). You can follow the winding trails, walk the winding road or trailblaze. You can also drive or bike up the winding road to the top. Proceed to the vantage point at N 48° 27.213' W 122° 37.543' (EL:~1215'). From the vantage point you can climb down directly or veer right to find a more winding downsloping path towards the cache area. THIS CAN BE A DANGEROUS CLIMB EVEN IN PERFECT WEATHER. Be careful and consider carefully bringing children or the elderly as there are deadly falls possible.
