There are few caches in this part of the country at present so a bit of a break might be welcome. It is a park, answer a question then to GZ for a quick find then back for a few coldies at the pub. This last stop might blow the attribute of less than a hour!!!!
This multi cache does not tell much about the history of the township you are in, however, start at the above co-ordinates and you will see that the place does not have many living here. In fact a visit to the south of where you are standing, about 1 km down (South) the bitumen through the double steel gates to the east of the road( Dry weather road only, and there are no clues to the cache here, just an interesting resting place!!!) shows the dead centre of the district and there are more here than in the town itself!!!
From where the initial coordinates are, write down when the town was established. (A,B,88)
A
B
As you go through the town you pass the historic (artistically speaking) pub ( it was where the pub scenes were shot for the film “Crocodile Dundee” ),turn to the south past the pub and there is a marker in the main street with some interesting information about the town.
If you have studied much about Central and NW Queensland you will see that a lot of the exploration was done as a result of trying to find the 2 explorers mentioned here.
Now off to GZ

Now, off for a coldie, CHEERS!!
