A short walk past the pretty suspension bridge.
The bridge at Cambus O'May was constructed in 1905 and repaired in 1988. It has a main span of 51.8 metres. The banks near the bridge are a popular place for picnics.
The bridge lies beside what is now the Deeside Way, with this section linking Ballater to Dinnet. If you're after a longer walk or cycle then you can come from either direction. There is, however, a small car park close to the cache which is signposted from the main road.
Besides the bridge you can also see what is known as Cutaway Cottage - this building had a corner chopped off to allow the railway through.
