Another of my occasional series of summit caches for hillwalkers.
This one is near the summit of Slievenaglogh (586M), just up from the Hares Gap following the wall along to Commedagh.
There are many possible routes to reach this one, but one of the simplest is up the Trassey Track to the Hares Gap, then following the route near the wall to the summit.
There is car parking at the public car park at N54 12.931 W5 59.437 or at the Meelmore Lodge paid car park (£3) at N54 12.546 W5 59.968 where you can also grab a bite to eat.
From there head up the valley to the saddle at the Hares Gap at N54 11.406 W5 58.431.
From there, follow the wall up to the North East to reach the summit and the cache.
Cache is a small tab-lock box, with ziplocked logbook and swaps. Please ensure it is all well sealed when replacing it, and ensure the cache is well hidden as you found it before leaving, as there are plenty of muggles passing through.
As with all caches in wilderness areas, please ensure you are dressed properly and prepared for all conditions, as the weather can change suddenly
