Thats right it time for the Wacky Farmer to mess with your
mined again.
This is a gathering of cachers whom just like to cache. There will
be alot of caches in a 'fairly' close area so its great fun without
a long hike.
We will meet at the above coordinates (enterance is south of
there) at 2:00pm. We will start caching for some fun and sometimes
sneaky event only caches (this means they can't be logged
separately). However if you wish to just chat about your latest
conquests or plan for future ones we have plenty of lawn and shade
trees for you to spend the afternoon under. Feel free to
praticipate in as much or as little 'activity' as suits your
wishes.
At 5:00pm the caching portion of this event will end and we will
meet back at the starting area for a bonfire and social time.
Please feel free to bring your mallows, dogs or whatever to roast.
This will be a good time to share your days adventures and swap any
TBs you may have brought with you.
The cost for this day of merriment is ZERO. There will be
no cost for this event. At that price how could you say no?
This will take place at the home farm which is one of the largest
Holstein dairy operating in Ontario (so expect some smell). It is
also important that the kids are kept close so we don't have any
accidents. Dogs are welcome as well but I ask you to please keep
them on a leash while near the barns as the cows are not used to
them.
There will be plenty of caches to find in the 3 hours. Some new
type of hides, some old favourites and some challenging ones too. I
love this event because I can use it as a testing ground for
'different' cache types. Also because they only have to last a
week; it gives me the opportunity to do things that normally
wouldn't last.
New this year At the end of the time I am planning for a
tour of the barns for those who are interested. I've had alot of
requested to add this part.
I hope everyone will come dressed for caching and plan to have a
great time.
Quotes from past years
It was a soggy day indeed, but warm smiles of sunshine were on
the faces of attendees. This was a fantastic event
Hiking Coachroachess
It was neat to sit inside the tree and get out of the rain for
a bit.
Amazon Annie
The "stick to it" cache was absolutely diabolical
Sargents
we had a wonderful time on the farm and really enjoyed the
creativity that went into the caches.
TeamTripleD
What an event to select as our first! Despite the drizzle we
loved every minute of it.
Whasp
I know that Woody had asked us to rate the caches but honestly
they were all great. Each one was it's own unique hide with varying
challenge levels.
This has to be one of the most memorable cache events that we have
attended and we thank you for letting us be a part of it.
Logger & Trail
One event that both of us will not forget.

Waking Woody has now awoke and again became Walking
Woody
UPDATE
Things are coming together quite nice for tomorrow and it sounds
like the weather should be okay (fingers crossed). I would just
like to mention that long pants are probably a good idea as nettles
and raspberries are at there full glory this time of year. The
skitters are not too bad but bug juice may still be a good idea.
Lawn cairs for the post cache hunt social time is probably a good
idea but there is plenty of grass too (blanket?).
I will have bottled water and corn on the cob to eat at the social
time. The Loewith Family (farm owners) have offered to purchase
everyone ice cream for a snack as well.
There will be a donation box which I hope to cover the costs of the
event which does add up. Any moneys above cost will go towards
next years event
Now let's have fun!
