The tradition continues. Once again while the Spazed Snooper is visiting the girls set out for a day of geocaching while Mr.Pirate spent the day at work.
The Spazed Snooper knows how to time her visits and arrived for the first Hot spell of the year. As we set off for a girls day of caching we agreed that we would have to hide our traditional cache.
Our adventures took us to some recent Pirate caches along the Ward's Trail. As we took in the views near the confluence of the Slocan and Kootenay Rivers we agreed that the perfect location for our cache was directly across the river.
As luck would have it we found a little trail leading off in the proper direction and no private property to bar the way. Park at N 49 25.261 W 117 31.801 and head down the stairs towards the beach. Once you are at the beach you will see a trail leading towards the cache.
We really enjoyed this location. The water from both rivers was rushing past with the spring runoff. We hope others will enjoy it as much as we did. After a day of being out and about in the bush the Spazed Snooper became tramatized when she found a tick crawling up her pant leg so she is insiting that we use the Wood Tick attribute on the cache page.
