Rock-It No. 1 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Nomex: Hi
As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm temporarily archiving this to keep it from continually showing up in search lists.

Don't hesitate to email me via the link on my Profile if you have any questions. [red]Please be sure to include the cache name and GC Code, or better yet, the URL of the cache page.[/red]

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Updated: 9/11/11: A small cache container along the Montara Mountain Trail in San Pedro Valley Park. The cache is just large enough for log sheets and a couple of small swag items; please bring a pen.

The easiest and quickest way to get to the cache location is by starting out from the San Pedro Valley Park entrance at the end of Linda Mar Boulevard in Pacifica. Two of the real challenges in placing a cache along this trail are identifying a location which isn't being overrun by Poison Oak yet still offers decent satellite reception. This location offers both ... at least at the moment!

From the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation brochure: "San Pedro Valley Park – This vast area showcases the middle and south forks of San Pedro Creek, including steelhead spawning grounds, Montara Mountain, and vistas of the San Francisco watershed. Take a hike to enjoy the views from Montara Mountain or enjoy the picnic areas and visitor center. Some facilities are accessible to those with disabilities."
