Myrtle Beach is the home of artist Wyland's 49th 'Whaling Wall"
mural, entitled: "Right Whales off the South Carolina Coast." This
life-sized mural lies tucked back behind the Myrtle Beach
Convention Center and was dedicated September 6, 1993.
EDIT 10/23/10: I've spoken with the General Manager of the
Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Paul Edwards, and he says that
geocachers will need to tell the parking lot attendants that they
are here for geocaching and show your GPS device to get in to park
and find the cache. They will waive the parking fee for this, but
please try not to abuse this by staying more than 15-20
minutes.
