Geocache Description:

This cache is near the "Shoe Swap Tree" towards the southern end of Hermit Bay on Shuswap Lake. This is accessible by boat only.

The Shoe Swap Tree was eatablished in 2002 by a local with a sense of humour. The idea behind it is when you come to visit Shuswap Lake you can leave your mark for others to see by placing a shoe on the Shoe Swap Tree. So be sure to bring a shoe (marked with your name & the date) and add it to the soon-to-be famous tree. You will also want to bring a camera to get lots of photos with you at the tree.
This Shoe Swap Tree is bound to someday be as famous as the Watson Lake Sign Posts!

 

NOTE:  During periods of extreme high water cache will be moved a few feet back.
