Around Saro no 2
Särö made history when Danish king Valdemar 1254 bought the farm with the acceptance of the Swedish and Norwegian kings. Later in the 19th century it became fashionable when it was turned into a seaside resort with various public baths both indoor heated pools and outdoor seawaterbaths. Bungalows and holiday flats were built for ” summer guests”also accomedated in private homes and farms. A restaurant opened in the manor house. A summer paradise for well-to-do Gothenburgers. A special attraction was the Royal family who visited Särö every summer. Four generations of kings with families used the resort for almost 100 years starting in 1857. Especially the tennis playing Gustav V became a Särö icon. From a seaside resort Särö developed into an elegant Gothenburg suburb with the railroad.
This 6 stage multcach trip takes you around parts of the island SÄRÖ (clockwise).

Start to the right on Dan Broströms väg.
The flying distance is about 3 km and it is a nice walk, mostly paved but there are some climbing.
The island is famous for it´s location, wealthy people, golf and tennis clubs.

The 5 first caches are quite small and gives information about the next (some cuppersigns and other small items) and the final cach is medium size

You have excellent possibilities to take a nice swim, have your picnic or take fine pictures along the different steps.
