Ka`iwa Ridge Boulder Cache Traditional Cache

This is a nice hike on a ridge above Lanikai, known as Ka'iwa Ridge. I prefer to start @ N 21 23.409, W 157 43.141, near the entrance to the golf course.  In a few short minutes you will be rewarded with world class views.  A little further up the ridge you will reach a couple of WWII pillboxes.  Continue down the trail only a little further and you will reach the geocache.  The roundtrip distance for this hike is approximately 2.4 miles, but the climb to the pillboxes is the toughest.  There are a few other caches on this trail so be on the lookout for them also.  An alternate starting point is @ N 21 22.894, W 157 43.530.  This trail does not have much shade so it can get very hot in the midday sun.  Sunrise is an especially nice time to be up here.
