Geocache Description:

Yes, there is still is affordable oceanview property in California!

This cache was hidden by Brownie Troop 89 to earn their geocaching badge.

When looking for a safe and appropriate hiding spot, we had to keep going higher and higher up the mountain until we found ourselves at the top with a beautiful view and a new housing project.

There are many approaches to the cache, but we'd like to challenge you to take the one we did which starts down at the Cabrillo School parking lot (37 35.837, 122 29.783) and then follows a trail to the hiding spot. Along the way you'll pass through a top-secret military training area in the forest. If a bunch of 8-year-olds can make this hike, so can you!

You can make a big loop to approach this cache and then catch at least another cache on the way back down to the school.

Parking in the parking lot is easy during non-school hours. Otherwise there is lots of nearby street parking.

And we don't know what this property would eventually sell for, but we suggest you get in during the construction phase.
