Welcome to our first cache placement which is located in a peaceful scenic rural farming location in the foothills of the Macedon Ranges.
GZ is located a short distance from the Bolinda Creek crossing, officially named "Rankin's Crossing". This location was previously a picnic area but the facilities have since been removed, however this is still a nice spot for a picnic whilst out collecting other caches in the area.
Access can be made from two different directions, both being on unsealed roads which are suitable for 2WD vehicles. The creek crossing can be impassable after very heavy rain and entering from the Mt. Eliza Road direction may not be suitable. The alternative route via Black Range Rd or Moffats Lane can be used.
Parking is available either side of the small seasonal creek if you don't wish to cross it in your vehicle and there are many places to cross on foot.
***Caution - check water depth prior to driving through ford.
You are looking for a 1 litre Sistema plastic container with log book and standard goodies contained within. The cache is hidden in the typical Geocaching fashion.
