In/near another open space. Terrain is average dog walking grade. Bring water. Watch for stickers and critters.
You can park along old highway 66 to hike over to get this one, or you can take the long way from the Stagecoach parking area for the Manzano Open Space.
We were originally looking for a way to get over to Rock Roof cache via vehicle, but came along too many "private property/ no trespassing" signs, so gave up for the day and went for a walk where we knew we could get to and enjoy the morning.
Just before we decided to plant this cache, we saw a coyote just up the trail/road, hence the name of the cache.
******PLEASE BEWARE....it seems to be snake season. So far there have been 4 sightings of these creatures within the past few days out here. Wear long pants, sturdy boots, long sleeves, and gloves to help guard yourself if you happen to get a little to personal with one. It should settle down within the next month or so.
There is room for small tradables (geocoins and such). Please approach the cache from the most open space as to keep the site in good shape.
Thanks, and enjoy the quiet.
