SFN: Going to have to archive this cache as I don't have a good place to hide it around the cupecoy area. On my next visit to St. Maarten, I will try to find a different location.

Geocache Description:

On the island of St. Maarten (Dutch side), in the Lowlands, at the new Porto Cupecoy Resort.

This cache is located in the Low Lands area of Cupecoy on the property of Porto Cupecoy. Cache is only available during the day unless you are guest of the resort which will allow you to roam the grounds at night. Don't let the guard gate intimidate you at the entrance because the general public is allowed on the complex during the day. There are many mugglers at this cache location, so be very careful!!

Once you have found the cache, check out the resort, then go to Cupecoy beach as its one of most beautiful beaches in St. Maarten! There are sand stone cliffs behind you, Saba in front of you, and it's the best place to watch the sunset. Cupecoy Beach, however, comes and goes with the seasons. One day, there is a beach, others, none at all. Even if there is no beach, it is still a great place to visit.

Try to come around sunset time, as Cupecoy Beach is one of the best places to watch another great day end. A lot of people say that The Green Flash is a Phenomenon, but it really exists. On a very clear early evening, without too much humidity or clouds in the horizon, and when the sun just touches the ocean, you just might see the green flash. Cupecoy is one of the best places to see it. Post me an email or picture if you see it.

FYI - Cupecoy is a Nude Beach, so may not be suitable for children.
