This is the second of many caches
that
I am placing along Paradise Rd heading back to Red Rock.
Growing up in the Santa Barbara area, we took a lot of day
trips
and camping trips up to the 'Red Rock' area. This road in the
Los
Padres National Forest runs along and through the Santa Ynez
river
as it flows from Gibraltar reservoir to Cachuma Lake. There
are
many day use areas and camp grounds along this beautiful road.
Some
of the activities that you can enjoy here are hiking,
swimming,
bird-watching, picknicking, fishing, camping and GEOCACHING.
I highly recommend that you pack a picnic lunch and make a day
of
it when you come up here to find these caches. You can stop at
any
of the day use areas to picnic and/or BBQ. Most of the day
use
areas are equipped with running water, flush toilets, picnic
tables
and small BBQ grills.
The camp grounds here each have a camp host and most of them
have
fire rings, tables, BBQ grills, running water and flush
toilets.
Please be careful and
always
on the lookout for any dangerous wildlife (mountain lions,
snakes,
etc.) and dangerous plants (poison oak, stinging nettles, etc.)
in
this area.
There are a couple of lottery scratchers
for
the FTF.
Hopefully the FTF will win some CASH from finding this
CACHE!!
GOOD LUCK!!!
Please log any and all DNF's and
maintenance issues so that I may make sure that the cache is not
mising or needs maintenance
