The Grand Union Canal links Birmingham to London with a waterway which is 145 miles long and contains 166 locks. This cache, in the heart of the town of Berkhamsted, is one of a series to be found along or close to the Hertfordshire/Buckinghamshire stretch of the canal.

This cache is to be found hidden one a rather nice bridge by which Lower Kings Road crosses the canal. Next to the bridge, is a set of the inevitable yuppie flats, which in a previous existence was Knowles Mill, an animal feed mill with adjacent wharf. I always thought it would make nice flats, wish I had had Alan Sugar's money to do it myself! This part of the canal is referred to as The Port of Berkhamsted.
This cache is located where at certain times of day there are loads of muggles around which will seriously increase the challenge of retrieving it. Make sure that no muggles see you with the cache and please do a good re-hiding job. Thanks.
