Geocache Description:



The cache is sited on Castle Hill above the old Commerce Street School, now known as Geo House.

Castle Hill is so named after the late Middle Ages fortification which was situated at the Castlegate, where the block of flats now stand.

It is thought the castle and fortifications were burned down by King Robert the Bruce in June 1308, during the Wars of Scottish Independence.

Geo House ceased to be used as a school in 1994 and is currently occupied by Bibby Offshore.

The cache is not in the grounds of the building.
