Cache of the Century Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MamaDuck71: My last standing cache is gone. It had a great 12 year run. The boards have changed and I do not have a replacement. Good bye old friend.

Geocache Description:

A .1 mile walk along a paved path. You are hunting a small tin (was a small Lock & Lock container).

Welcome to the Century Park Classroom. This outdoor classroom is a scaled representation (1 foot ~ 20 miles) of the State of Illinois. In its pathways, plantings, and wildlife, part of the story of the Illinois landscape and its ecosystem is told.

As you walk the trail keep an eye out for state symbols such as our state insect, the Monarch butterfly, our state tree, the White Oak, our state bird, the Cardinal, or our state flower, the Violet.

The park is open from dawn to dusk.
