Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is located in the Waite Conservation Reserve and
will not be available during times of high
fire danger.
There is also a high snake danger in the summer months.
In summer, I’d leave the kids home for this
one.
The cache is best accessed by taking a jaunt up Wild Dogs Glen.
Parking can be accessed at the same point suggested for “Waite
Vista” and “A Dingo’s Got My Cache” at 34 58.292 138 38.446.
After that, I’ll let you figure out your own strategy to get
it.
Attacks from either below or above each have their own pros and
cons. Which ever way you decide, please use an unusual amount of
common sense.
If you come from above, the terrain in the vicinity of the cache
is very steep/vertical and much of it is shale rock, which has the
potential to be fatal.
You are looking for a metal container that looks as though it
would house a German WWII ‘stick’ grenade, painted black. (same as
“Hannaford’s Rest”) Please ensure that the waterproof cap is in
place before screwing the lid back on.
Don’t forget to explore the rock face in the vicinity of the cache.
I wanted to put it in the obvious feature (the “Fox’s Lair”), but
there are footprints and other evidence of muggle activity in it
and nowhere to hide anything.
