Tanuf Ruins Traditional Cache

🐪The ruins of old Tanuf is just at the base of the mountains of Wadi Tanuf. Follow the Muscat - Al Buraymi road 20km from Nizwa, Take the paved (black top ) road at the signs for “Wadi Tanuf” and “Tanuf 3km” and head towards the mountains.1.5km after the turn off take a right turn at T-junction and the ruins are just a head, safe parking can be found immediately after the ruins turning left at the junction. The cache is located in what used to be a wall in the eerie town that was bombed during the Jabal War of 1954 and 1955 by the British RAF. Take great care while removing the rocks and placing them back and make sure the cache is not visible. Just like the tribesmen buring the bombing, after logging your find escape to the wadi tanuf where great spots for picnic and BBQ can be found.
