Geocache Description:

The cache is a glass jar. Because I am a little doubtful about the water proof qualities of the lid, I have wrapped it in a protective plastic bag. Please return it to the bag and try to ensure that it is hidden in an upright stance. Besides the usual swap items, it has a First Find Trophy.

This is an offset cache. The given co-ordinates will take you to Watsonville’s Anzac tree in their Memorial Park. By taking the positions of the names on the Honour Board, reading down the first column and then the second, you will be able to work out the co-ordinates of the cache.

While there, read the lovely poem “A Town That Used to Be” and others on the board. It is not often you can be standing in a town reading a poem about how it used to be, or on a street reading a poem about that very street. Try to picture the area with busy streets, rows of houses, hotels, school, dance hall, and the Cobb & Co. coach rumbling into town behind its team of sweating horses to be met by many of the towns inhabitants anxious for mail and goods. The cache is practically a "Drive-in-drive-out" one, but the potholes are worth a look.
Cheers and Good Hunting! Dan
